We have heard or have read about the fall of the Angels I know that God loves us more than the angels because he wanted to make his palace in the soul of every human being and the angels didn’t like this plan of God so many of them revolted.

We have been promised to live a happy and prosperous life on earth but so many of us are unhappy,so many have become helpless and powerless today .

I am suffering of some problems,does that mean God has deviated from his promise?

No,not at all but I have given a deaf ear to his eternal message of life .

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
    though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
    one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
    from ancient times.”-Mikah5:2

We all are a little Bethlehem but our faith is so insignificant that we cannot believe a ruler is willing to live in us and with us if only we keep our soul neat and clean,free from filthiness.

The scripture didn’t really speak only of Bethlehem ,what is the Lord going to do with a lovely city ?The Lord finds pleasures in every little Bethlehem(soul) which allows the ruler to reign over everything from there.

We have eyes but we cannot see,we have ears but we do not hear the Lord’s warning and guidance.

13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them;16 but they were kept from recognizing him.-Luke 24:13-16

In the above extract from the Holy book we find two disciples who were walking with the Resurrected Lord,they walked for hours and heard all about Mosses and the Savior and his sufferings and his death that means the story of the Bible from their own master but did not recognize him.

We can understand that how we remain blind despite having our eyes.How powerless we are without his grace !

13 This is why I speak to them in parables:

“Though seeing, they do not see;
    though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

“‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
    you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 For this people’s heart has become calloused;
    they hardly hear with their ears,
    and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
    hear with their ears,
    understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’

16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.-Mathew 13:13-16

Joshua had won 31 battles against famous kings of his time but had lost his battle against a small kingdom called Ai.

Let’s find out the reason of his defeat.

It’s a bit lengthy but worth reading .

Israel Defeated at Ai

7 But the people of Israel broke faith in regard to the devoted things, for Achan the son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of the devoted things. And the anger of the Lord burned against the people of Israel.

2 Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth-aven, east of Bethel, and said to them, “Go up and spy out the land.” And the men went up and spied out Ai. 3 And they returned to Joshua and said to him, “Do not have all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and attack Ai. Do not make the whole people toil up there, for they are few.” 4 So about three thousand men went up there from the people. And they fled before the men of Ai, 5 and the men of Ai killed about thirty-six of their men and chased them before the gate as far as Shebarim and struck them at the descent. And the hearts of the people melted and became as water.

6 Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of the Lord until the evening, he and the elders of Israel. And they put dust on their heads. 7 And Joshua said, “Alas, O Lord God, why have you brought this people over the Jordan at all, to give us into the hands of the Amorites, to destroy us? Would that we had been content to dwell beyond the Jordan! 8 O Lord, what can I say, when Israel has turned their backs before their enemies! 9 For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear of it and will surround us and cut off our name from the earth. And what will you do for your great name?”

The Sin of Achan

10 The Lord said to Joshua, “Get up! Why have you fallen on your face? 11 Israel has sinned; they have transgressed my covenant that I commanded them; they have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen and lied and put them among their own belongings. 12 Therefore the people of Israel cannot stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become devoted for destruction. I will be with you no more, unless you destroy the devoted things from among you. 13 Get up! Consecrate the people and say, ‘Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow.’

Thank you very much.Take care.

    1. Is it?That’s your view but I think I become very powerful whenever I surrender to Jesus.In fact I am striving hard to surrender to him and I will be the happiest person if I ever succeed in doing so.Thank you very much for sharing your beautiful thoughts and views.Have an awesome Sunday.God bless.Take care.🙏😊🌹

      1. Hi! Let me explain my perspective. I am studying the Book of Isaiah with my Bible study ladies currently and I mean this in the sense of this study. So many of these countries back when, focused on power but all God wanted was for them to focus on God’s power, not their own. HE knows our hearts and from what I see of you, you are always seeking Him. So beautiful. ❤

  1. Without God or His power in us (when we open our eyes, our hearts and our ears to His Truths!) we are powerless. It is when we stand with conviction, grace, humility, and strength along with the Armour of God, that is when we truly become empowered to walk through hell on earth and not be touched by it. Beautiful and powerful post, Francis. God bless you for standing on God’s Truth. xo

  2. God gave us power through Jesus to overcome and live victoriously but we need to abide in the Lord. When we fail, then we also lose the power because power belongs to God.
    Thank you for reminding us with this truth today. A refreshment to the soul.
