Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
    will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
    my God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
    his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
    nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
    nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
    ten thousand at your right hand,
    but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
    and see the punishment of the wicked.

If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
    and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
    no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
    you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
    I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble,
    I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

The assurance of the mighty Lord for all of us,He had signed a bond before the coming of the Messiah to this Earth.

Psalm 91 verse 14 says “Because he loves me ,”says the Lord,”I will rescue him;I will protect him for he acknowledges my name.

The assurance of safety and security is conditional ,a matter to ponder over ,to reflect upon because the Lord says ‘because he loves me I will rescue him,I will protect him for he acknowledges my name.’

I am worried because I love many earthly things more than I love the Lord hence he is not the prerogative or precedence of my life.

I feel sad because he has become a secondary thing in my life.

I don’t know when and how I acknowledged him because that has to happen through my attitudes,my behavior with the people of little faith, atheists or people of some other faith.

Nevertheless the good news is that there is enough hope amidst so much of disappointments and hopelessness.

I only need to surrender to the Lord and assure him of my loyalty till my last breath and need to say “The Lord is my refuge” and Thank you dear Lord for your immense love and kindness.

Thanks a lot,please take care.

  2. Thanks for sharing Francis. We struggle to love God as we should. We struggle to put Him first, but you are so right: there is so much hope. God always finishes what He has started so He will finish that work in us too. ❤ We don’t deserve it, but the Lord is kind and merciful and great in compassion.

    Prayers for both you and Silvi. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

  3. Our God is so good, kind, and gracious. Though we’ll never be perfect this side of heaven, he knows our hearts’ desire is to love Him and follow Him wholeheartedly. “The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. . . He knows what we are made of, remembering that we are dust” (Psalm 103:8, 14 HCSB). Hallelujah!
